Yesterday I returned from China. I spent the first three days in Shanghai, where I met friends and visited museums and galleries. At the Yuehu Sculpture Park, I saw Masayuki Koorida's impressive "Stone Forest" for the first time. A kind of modern Stonehenge. After over five years, I have finally finished a new oil painting: oils have found their way back to my studio. My newest Panda artwork: It needs another 10 months of drying time, but the act of painting is finished. Working across two floors - acrylics below, oils above - has opened new creative possibilities.
