"Chongqing Jiefangbei and Grand Theater " shows a beautiful view of Chongqing seen by night reflected in the Yangtze river. Antonio Wehrli took the photograph just a few weeks before completion of the artwork. He softly photoshopped it and had it printed and stretched on canvas. He then painted his signature style abstract gravity flow over it to increase depth and beauty and to interpret the energy of the location. This artwork was part of an important Solo-exhibition tour by Antonio Wehrli that went from Chongqing to Zurich and Rome, called "Dreamland China-Chongqing Image". It was also on display during the Chongqing-Zurich sister-province signing ceremony in Zurich on July 18, 2018.
